The goals we work for may be farfetched but if we keep our eye on the price it will all be worth it in the end. Some goals are easy and some are a rocky road. Is it worth it to you? How bad do you want it? When I worked at Walmart they would randomly go over everyones performance on top of the yearly review that gave us the raises. Motivation in the workplace is pay raises. Pay raises sometimes are based on performances than other times it's based on the whole store. We have goals in every facet of our lives.
